Our son has been attending Blooming Grove Academy for over 4 years. Hand-in-hand with BGA we are teaching my son to be caring, respectful, open, and responsible not only for himself but those around him... [more]

History
BGA opened its doors for classes in August of 1985 with 30 students. BGA uses the C4R method blended with educational methods which reflect current research on how people learn.
The Corsini (C4R) method began as a response to a discouraged principal’s challenge to develop a better system of education.
When asked how her school was going, the principal replied, “Terrible. Children are resisting learning and are restless; the teachers are listless and discouraged; and parents are angry and puzzled.”
The principal challenged Dr. Raymond Corsini, a leading educator, to develop a new system of education. Dr. Corsini accepted the challenge, believing that by using scientific knowledge and the personality model of Alfred Adler, he could create a school that would work. After three years of extensive research and development, the first C4R School was installed at Our Lady of Sorrows, a parochial school in Hawaii, in September, 1972. The new system was enthusiastically endorsed by students, faculty, and parents. Learning improved, morale soared, and disciplinary problems decreased.
